Drugs are extracted with organic solvent and measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in full scan mode. Drugs that are detected above the limit of detection (variable for each analyte) are reported.

Processing
- Processing
Refrigerate Urine. Freeze urine if test cannot be run within 24 hours. SPS, enter the expected drugs (list provided by practitioner).
UDD requires 6 mL minimum.
If sample received frozen, and/or less than 9 mL received, send entire sample to Toxicology with shared sample slip and all labels.
If non-frozen sample received with more than 9 mL, aliquot minimum 3 mL for HAUTO. Send remaining sample to Toxicology with labels.
