- Lab Code
- RHLASM
- External Test Id

- Description
Indications: Solid organ transplant.
Test Information: The purpose of this test is to monitor patients after transplant for the presence and level of antibodies to the donor’s HLA antigens. The test is semi-quantitative.
Ordering Guidance: This test is appropriate when results will be used to evaluate treatment options, or when results are needed overnight or over the weekend. STAT testing includes a 6-hour turnaround time with verbal result reporting. If this is not required, select alternate test options HLA Antibody Monitoring DSA, Routine (Sendout) [RHLAM] or HLA Antibody Monitoring DSA, Protocol (Sendout) [RHLAMP], as appropriate.
Ordering Requirements:
- Providers must notify Bloodworks Northwest HLA Laboratory of any STAT requests by calling (206) 817-7730. If this is not done, the lab will perform the test as routine.
- Contact information is required for verbal result reporting. Include the name and phone/pager of the person receiving results in the Epic order.
