Ordering & Collection

- Sticky paddle or Tape from perianal area

Collect from the skin around the perianal area preferable during the night or upon rising in the morning, before bathing or using the toilet.
Using commercial Pinworm preparation paddle, collect the specimen by touching the sticky side to the perianal area. Place the paddle back into the tube.
Alternatively, place 1" CLEAR, not frosted or invisible, adhesive tape on perianal skin. Remove and adhere to a microscope slide.
Note: Wash hands after collection.

Transport within 24 hours at room temperature or refrigerated.
If sending slides, place in sturdy container labeled with name and Biohazard label.
