- Urine specimens should be acidified.
UW-MT Instructions: Take specimen to the Automated Chemistry Technologist who will pH the sample to 1.
HMC Instructions: Forward specimen to UW-MT with next shipment. The Automated Chemistry Technologist will pH sample.
Note: Be sure there is a Blood creatinine and Blood magnesium ordered within time noted above. Chemistry needs a copy of the request form.
