Thyroglobulin by LCMS
General Information
- Lab Name
- Thyroglobulin by LCMS
- Lab Code
- THYRG
- Epic Name
- Thyroglobulin by LCMS
- Description
For routine Thyroglobulin testing see Lab Mne: THGLBN
This assay [THYRG] should be reserved for patients with autoantibodies or in clinical situations when traditional immunoassay results are suspect.
The concentration of thyroglobulin is determined by trypsin digestion and immunoaffinity peptdide enrichment followed by liquid chromatrography-tandem mass spectrometry. The reportable range is 0.15 to 10.00 ng/mL with imprecision between 3.0 and 9.0 %CV.
