Description

Test Information: This group of assays are used for enumerating the percentages and absolute cell counts for lymphocyte subsets in whole blood. The tests are used in the evaluation of immune function, in the setting of primary and secondary immune deficiencies, post-transplant, and monitoring monoclonal antibody therapies. Multiple panels are available; refer to the Seattle Children's Hospital test menu for further detail: Lymphocyte Subset Analysis.

    Ordering Requirements:

      • Providers must select a specific Lymphocyte Subset Panel when placing the Epic order. Failure to provide this information to the lab may result in significant delays and/or cancellations.
      • Test pre-approved for orders originating from Fred Hutch, UW Medicine, or The Vancouver Clinic Allergy Clinics (MSALL, UESALL, VANTVC). Laboratory Medicine Resident approval is required for all other ordering locations.

Collection Note: Limited specimen stability. Time blood collections accordingly to ensure that samples reach the performing lab within the 30 hour stability limit.
