- Description
Test Description: ABL Kinase Mutational Analysis Assay is indicated for patients who have developed a clinical resistance to imatinib (Gleevec) therapy. Mutations in the ABL Kinase domain of the BCR/ABL oncogene have differing treatment options, depending upon the specific mutation. Through detection of mutations, alternate therapies may be warranted. Results are qualitative. The ABL Kinase Mutational Analysis can be applied to samples which have tested positive for the BCR/ABL transcript.
