Description

LMR approval required for inpatients system-wide for the Platelet Aggregation Studies (PLAGI/PLAGN/RIPAG)

Patient must be off anti-inflammatory drugs for 10 days.

Clinical assay interference and limitations: Abnormal Aggregation responses may occur if the patient has taken aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents or other platelet inhibiting medications within 10 days prior to testing. If the patient's platelet count is below 100,000/uL the patient may have a reduced or absent aggregation to ADP and decreased response with other agonists.
