Description: CCFUGE is appropriate if a hematopoietic neoplasm (leukemia, lymphoma, etc) is on the differential. If a non-hematopoietic neoplasm is a consideration, the sample should be submitted for cytology review. Hematopathology and cytology perform different stains (Wright Stain and PAP Stain respectively). If you are unsure of where to submit your specimen please contact the hematopathology laboratory (206-606-7060). For testing please complete a Hematopathology test request form found at Clinical Pathology Test Order Forms.

Collection: SPINAL FLUID - Include on the request form: the clinical diagnosis & whether patient is on any therapy.
Handling Instructions: Send refrigerated specimen immediately to the laboratory.
