Schedule with Hematopathology Laboratory (206) 606-7060 before collecting/sending specimen. BRONCHO ALVEOLAR LAVAGE FLUID collected in CYTOCENTRIFUGE tube.
- Handling Instructions
Samples in RPMI preferred. Optimal results are achieved when samples are received within 24 hours of collection for body fluids. Samples must be received in the lab within 72 hours of collection. Orders received >72 hours after collection will be rejected. In rare cases samples less than 24 hours beyond stability may be reported with a disclaimer at the discretion of the flow cytometry laboratory medical director or designee.
