5-10 mL deep cough sputum, BAL, bronch wash. Indicate if induced.
- Handling Instructions
- Transport within 30 minutes at room temperature or within 24 hrs at refrigerator temperature.
Note 1: This stain is performed on specimens received 7 AM to noon at UW-MT and 9 AM to 2 PM at HMC . Specimens received before 7 AM (UW-MT) or 9 AM (HMC) will receive routine concentrated stain and culture (AFBHSC) only.
Note 2 : AFB culture (AFBHSC) is also performed the next day on all AFBCST specimens at an additional charge; see AFBHSC. - Quantity
