Outside Laboratories:

Centrifuge sample and transfer serum to a separate plastic vial. Refrigerate serum while awaiting shipment. Transport with a cold pack.
Expedite transport to UWMT. Samples must be received at the performing lab within 4 days of collection. Allow for 2 days transport time once sample reaches UWMT.

Stability: Refrigerated (preferred): 4 days; Frozen: Acceptable but not preferred; Ambient: Unacceptable.

Reject Due To: Hemolysis, sample received >4 days after collection.
