- Description
ThyroSeq® Genomic Classifier (GC) is used for the pre-operative assessment of thyroid nodules with indeterminate cytology using DNA and RNA sequencing by NGS, and offers an assessment of cancer probability in a given nodule and additionally provides information on cancer prognosis.
Thyroseq vials are submitted with Cytopathology FNA orders (NONGYN in EPIC). HMC Cytology will send out the vial for testing if FNA results are indeterminate (Bethesda III: Atypia of Undetermined Signifance or Bethesda IV: Suspicious for Follicular Neoplasm).
