The presence of any Factor 10 inhibitor like Apixaban (Eliquis), Rivaroxaban (Xarelto), Edoxaban (Savaysa), Unfractionated Heparin or Low Molecular Weight Heparin in a patient sample may affect this test causing an underestimation of the Factor 10 activity.

This test is not affected by lupus inhibitors or direct thrombin inhibitors and may be useful for monitoring warfarin in patients with lupus inhibitors or receiving direct thrombin inhibitors that might interfere with prothrombin time testing.
