Description

Testing for urgent pre-procedural Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) detection. Indicated ONLY when the results from a routine MRSA culture (MRSAC) swab will not be available in time for the procedure (swab collection < 2 days from procedure) and it will change medical management.

Handling Instructions

Transport specimen at room temperature (15–28°C) if it will be processed within 24 hours, otherwise store at 2–8°C for up to 5 days.
