The DxI IL-6 assay is a simultaneous one-step immunoenzymatic (“sandwich”) assay.
3 mL blood in Red Top or GOLD SST tube.
Also acceptable: Green Top (Lithium Heparin) tube
Unacceptable: Lime Green PST and Orange RST
Aliquot and decant into tubes, if not a Gold SST.
Put samples in UAUTO rack for front loading. Do NOT PUT Directly on the automation line.
Samples are stable for 4 days at room temp or 4 days at 2-8 degrees C. Freeze/thaw up to 4 times.
